SL... made some good pointS about giving someone some constructive critismn can be helpful in bettering something for marketing purposes. A comment was made about looking at a website that didn't have ANY PICTURES and she thought he was being rude.

I made a comment that was directed at a man that was giving a provider problems and the moderator thought I was talking to her..
here is the statement- If he outed you sweetie he didn't do a very good job because some of us don't know jack shit and don't care to know.. just saying. I meant, HIM. It was in respone to a thread where the provider was saying goodbye to everyone and there was a guy giving her problems.
I could care less if a man contacted me about any real life info on a provider and wouldn't care to hear it. I got points for that missunderstanding cuz he thought I was directing it to her.

Some ppl don't do a good job of writing effectively and could be taken the wrong way.

If the mods in other cities took a cue from the mods in S Texas it would be different. My observation is it's only a handful of individual posters whose BS infects the board in their area. I don't think Chica Chaser puts up with much BS - if it infected the National Board it would be disastrous.

I can understand some level of decorum being the norm. I am respectful to any provider that I have contacted, maybe so much so that that is the reason why a significant number of them have never responded. I am honest with the details of my reviews, while realizing that my opinion may not carry much weight with someone who only sees spinners.

However, there are plenty of people who create profiles just to post a fake review, to disparage the reputation of another, or to just generally stalk people. My experience with message boards has been that being direct and unfiltered to those that deserve it actually keeps the much of the trash at bay.

I feel that I successfully navigate the Houston boards without getting hit with any crossfire. If anyone were to have the desire to insult me, let them, I'm a grown man and will either play along with them or let them continue to scream into the mirror. The Houston boards may have a bad reputation with some people, but many times outsiders are going to only see the ugly parts. We tend to remember bad experiences more than an average or above average experience, so the critics will always seem greater in number and louder than the everyday user.
