Default Are you happy?

For all the bitching on here about Obama, the economy, the wife not putting out enough, etc. etc. etc. I could draw the conclusion life really sucks....

Are things really that bad? All things considered I think I'm pretty fortunate & life is pretty damn good (even though I can always find something to bitch about)

I've given up on the notion that I will ever be truly happy.

I do a lot of things that bring enjoyment to my life, including the hobby. Let's just say that if it weren't for some of the lovely ladies I've seen (especially my ATF), life would be "all work and no play make Chaz a dull boy."

If I were to look at life from an egocentric pov, I'd have to say I'm marginally happy. From that same pov, I could bitch about a lot.

However, I tend to look at life objectively from a worldview. In that respect, I don't live in the abject poverty that a lot of the world lives in. I put a roof over the family's head and food on the table and clothes on the back (an excess of each of these). Lots of places in the world has lots of people who struggle just for mere shelter, for regular meals (or even something just above starving), and for more than one set of rags.

And then there is the violence. In the US for the most part we live in a peaceful society. A lot of the rest of the world is in turmoil and life is cheap.

When I compare myself to the rest of the world, I not only feel lucky, but know I should be happy in my situation. Could I bitch? Sure. But should I bitch? No.

Yes I am, thou I have come to the conclusion that times have changed and we are becoming more of a socialist government, thou you can still live the American Dream it now has become that more leaches will be attached to that process.

Life has been good to me even in the times when more of Americans are facing the bad times of present, but maybe there are reasons why I am stable and others are not.

Just saying...

For the most part I'm pretty happy but I'm always bitchin about something...It's my nature. I swear If a newborn could talk I would have come out of the womb bitchin....

Kisses,

Alex

How 'bout that Lindsey Lohan though, anyone think she is happy? Got a hit movie (Machate, ya'll go see it, I got a couple of points on the back end of that movie, filmed in and around austin for all you Tex-a-cans lovers!) out and is parting like a rock star and the gawd damn popo won't leave her alone!

I am happy! I have a good job, I get to see my new ATF on occasion.

Granted I have a few areas that need work, like getting a vehicle but overall I am happy with my life right now.
