Default Samsung Galaxy Tab

I have the following:
1. PC desktop; yes I have desktop (work)
2. PC laptop (work)
3. Mac Air (fun)
4. HTC One phone (fun)
5. Samsung SIII phone (work)
6. Ipad; I hate that thing (collecting dust)

I'm looking into getting a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Does anyone know of any issues running Eccie on it, as far as chat is concerned or any other issues? I'm not at all interested in running the mobile version so if that's all that works on the Tab then I'll look at other options.

Any problems at all, please tell me. No matter how small you think they may be.

Thanks,

TM

What size & variant of the Tab are you looking at?

If it's the 7 inch Tab 3 model just spend the extra 20-40 & get a Nexus 7.
The WSVGA 1024x600 resolution screen & laggy 1.2 GHZ Dual Core processor covered in Touchwiz aren't worth the few extra dollars in savings.

The Tab 3 10.1 may have an upgraded 1.6GHz processor, but is still just as laggy.

Now if you are talking about the new Tab Pro line that entire lineup is a beast 12, 10, & 8 inch variants. Though the price matches its beast specs.

You can run flash on pretty much any android over Ginger Bread.

Install Flash
Go Here and scroll down until you see the android versions or just ownload and install the latest version onto your phone.
Get a browser which allows flash

Firefox for Android

Dolphin Browser
Both of those will enable flash after installing it; I use the Dolphin browser.

If it doesn't work, let me know

I'm using Dolphin right now on lastest CM 11 Nightly and it works with flash. Use firefox if you can't get dolphin working; link is on previous post.

Ugh!

It might help if I knew what I was talking about. I meant the Galaxy Note. *Reset*

Now what helpful information does everyone have. Sorry.

Note comes basic with Android 4.1. Supposed to be upgradable. But unless you're a tech that knows how to modify Dolphin or some of the Android root items, you can download a special version of Flash as YoHou mentions.

YoHou has the flash web site above, look at version 11.1 Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81)

Yes a step back version.

Again, unless you've done stuff like this be prepared to spend some time doing it. Or find a tech to help.

Last, for anyone with the Android system, consider the App Android Device Manager (find a lost phone, wipe a lost phone remotely, etc.)

You don't need special version of flash, root, or anything like that. All you have to do is install the .apk and it'll ask if you want to install from unknown sources (this is just to make sure you know what you are installing something that's not on the play store).

I believe adobe stopped supporting flash for android so the latest file will be the last file you will need for flash.

I had my brother install flash and dolphin, with the same instructions I posted here, without modifying anything and he's as smart as fish out of water when it comes to technology.

So, are none of the items other than PC/Mac able to access this site without loading something on them?

Apple no longer supports flash and android just stopped surpporting it by not having it installed.

You can still install flash and it should take no more than 5 minutes to have your android (GB and up) play flash.

What about this site makes flash a requirement? Other than possibly some ads, this site appears to be mostly html and javascript, so I dont see why no flash support would be an issue.

For what its worth, I went to the adobe flash test page on my device using Opera mobile and it showed "no plugin detected" and I have no issues on this site on my device. I think most mobile browsers/roms should work with this site without issue.

I believe OP wanted chat on his mobile device and was looking into Galaxy Tab lines.
