Anybody into the classics?
20's; 30's or 40's music?
Big band sounds and the old time dances?
Maybe even embrace the era?
I used to know one lady years back who dressed up in 20's style,
aka Great Gatsby.

I only slip back as far as '50's Jazz. I do, however have a great box set of the 1940's King Cole Trio (Nat King Cole) that I love. it rocks!

Frank Sinatra's channel, his contemporaries, such as Nat King Cole, as well as, Edith Piaf are my Pandora soundtrack to my romantic memories: bittersweet tears goodbye. love unrequited, and the like. Planting seductive kisses, on his neck and jaw. Scarlet red lips leave a calling card on his crisp white collar. We slow dance, for hours, to album after album. We are lovers from an era long gone by. We sing quietly in each other's ears, interrupted only when one of us moans. *sigh*

Definitely a fan -

I like to swing to big band and 50's rock. Most gals seem to hate it or have no idea

Try Dinner Party Radio on Pandora for the best in 30's and 40's.
I recently told one of my ATFs of it. I would love to do a session with that in the background. Right now I'm listening to Glenn Miller.
Working on a project that involves research of early 20th Century from 1900-1930s. I'm going to put myself in that era for awhile.

I grew up in record stores (literally - my parents owned three) and love good music from all eras. I knew who Jelly Roll Morton was before I had heard of The Beatles. If Benny Goodman's "Swing Swing Swing" from Carnegie Hall doesn't raise your pulse, or if you can't fuck to Frankie, you're missing out.

How about doing the nasty to Glenn Miller?
Ahh the Charleston, or the Lindy Hop?
How many reading this under 40 are scratching their heads by now?

Love big band/swing, old soul, jazz, blues... and IMO this is the only Christmas album worth listening to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtNv1EihVB0 (Bing Crosby - White Christmas)

I can't dance for shit though, regardless of era.

I love old style music.
My favorite band (actually not a band but a collective) is Post Modern Jukebox.
They take top 40 songs, rearrange them into 20-60's styles. The music videos often fature tap dancers, swing dancers and burleqsue.
An absolute must view!
They have a youtube channel.

I did see that, it was awesome.
Years ago, I was taught the tango from a senior college student after she spotted me taking ballroom dancing back in the 70's. It was only a few lessons but I never had a partner again. I'm seriously considering joining a tango group to learn again.
Gene Kelly in Anchors Away and Royal Wedding's dancing in the ceiling.
Classic.
Hang in there Carrie Hillcrest, nothing's impossible.

I love 1930s and 1940s Blues and Jazz. Bessie Smith and Billie Holiday are among my favorites!

I LLOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEE the Sinatra's station, I also listen to Broadway, jazz, classical and opera channel. I never listen to mainstream music. I tried…but to me, the mainstream pop music nowadays is lacking beautiful melody or artistic value. Mehhh!!!
