hdanish: With the hundreds of private companies that buy criminal background information from governmental entities, and the widespread use of pre-employment background checks, undoubtedly the case would show up today.

btw, you should check into getting the records sealed or expunged. Any swinging dick with a computer could fuck over your life.

Good advice. I just started to Google, "how to" and found an atty who does the work. Next problem will be to figure out how to sneak the retainer to them without the SO finding out.
Happy New Year Sir.

Thank you.

The laws are easy to read, hard to interpret. But law is law and it gets complicated because you deal with City Law, County Law, State Law and Federal Law, they are supposed to write laws that support each area but these days laws on each level conflict each other. It makes the sex industry hard to navigate.

Each City has one code, the county another and the state may have an altogether different one as well.

Navigating them all is tricky.

At the least you should know COPS lie, there is NO law that forces them to admit to being law enforcement or admitting to being law enforcement, they are told to lie, that IS their job. They won't admit it even if they are and at the worst it makes you look guilty as hell and NO you can't claim entrapment if they lie. That is a myth.

So don't ask, the answer doesn't matter, won't be truth and won't save you later.
Half the bimbos on BP have something in their ads like "NO LAW ENFORCEMENT!!! BY CALLING ME YOU AGREE THAT YOU ARE NOT A POLICE OFFICER AND ANYTHING ELSE IS ENTRAPMENT!!!"

They just declared their own mens rea. Dummies.

I know a girl who walked into a hotel room, took one look around, turned around and RAN to the elevator. Arrested. Period. Why? What did she do that was illegal? Nothing of course, so tell it to the judge because the police don't care. Yes, they can do that. Who's there to stop them? Unless you happen to carry a famous civil rights attorney around in a cat carrier everywhere you go, you're going to jail for the night. It might be difficult for them to prove in court that you did anything illegal, but it's pretty easy to provide reasonable justification for arresting you. And they'll do it for no other reason but to make your life miserable ESPECIALLY if they know they won't be able to convict you because that's their only way of punishing you.
One of the best statements I have seen about this.

Never mind how, but I once knew a lot of cops. The talk was all about how much they enjoyed arresting someone.

Remember, cops can - and do - lie to you. They can and they will. Get an attorney, no matter what the cost.
