What is unsurprising is how much media attention it is getting. This is big.

Lisa P. Jackson, Obama's former EPA chief, was forced to resign for using an alias email account to conduct official govt business. The reason was she tried to circumvent regulations around records retention and discovery by not having emails that dealt with the EPA traced back to her.

Although Obama claims "executive privilege" my bet is he has to follow the same regulations. That Huma supposedly didn't know that was Obama's alias means he was purposely being deceptive.

In every major company, they have an IT department and a Loss prevention department that maintain cell phones, servers, and your computer at your office. Do you mean to say that our own government is too stupid to have people monitor every form of communication coming out of the White House, Dept of State, and the Pentagon? That this ever occurred is a joke on our incompetent government. Maybe they should spy on their own people rather than on all of us.

This wasn't an incidence of "incompetence". This was orchestrated criminality to avoid the law followed by an illegal cover-up. The same is true with the IRS debacle.
