Default THE OBAMA ECONOMIC FAILURE: THERE IS NO RECOVERY.

UCLA Anderson Forecast paints dismal picture of economic recovery...

"It's not a recovery. It's not even normal growth. It's bad," UCLA economist Edward Leamer says.

Do you even read the stories you link it. The report indicates factors that no president or party can address.

You are insane if you think the president can't have an influence on economic performance and recoveries..

The Opening paragraph says it all:
The country's tepid growth in its gross domestic product isn't creating enough good jobs to build a strong middle class, according to a UCLA report released Wednesday.
Real GDP growth — the value of goods and services produced after adjusting for inflation — is 15.4% below the 3% growth trend of past recoveries, wrote Edward Leamer, director of the UCLA Anderson Forecast. More robust growth will be necessary to bring this recovery in line with previous ones.
Obama's economic/social policies have been an anchor around our recovery.........This is the worse recovery from a recession in modern history....Obama's policies have worked to prevent a strong recovery, not encourage it.

But I don't expect you to acknowledge it.

I came to the US during the Clinton years. I remember thinking Clinton was smart to embrace Newt's ideas when he got in trouble.

I would like to you tell me where in that paragraph or where in the article what is happening is tied directly or indirectly with ANY of the President's policies?

This is a topic that is being much discussed right now on a lot of web pages. The problem is that during the Bush years when everything tanked and credit got tight a lot of craftsmen left the home building industry. Right now that the recovery has started home building is lagging behind because no one can find enough skill craftsmen to get things built. Companies are poaching each others workers it is getting so bad. This has NOTHING whatsoever to do with any of Obama's policies. In general many jobs right now are not being filled because of a lack of workers with the required skills and people that are actively looking for work can't find jobs because they do not have the skills of the job openings they do find. In the many articles discussing the issues NO ONE blames the policies of Obama.

You are letting your hatred of Obama prevent you from reasoning clearly.

Check out this link.

I'm new to the USA as well--dual citz. I'm a liberal in the UK but a socialist here I'm afraid. Which is actually fine by me. I consider myself a democratic socialist anyway;-)

I meant no offense mates---this is in fact some odd hooker board lmfao. Anyway, I was merely stating here in the states it seems as though I'm considered a socialist rather than a liberal(back in the UK.) Honestly, I haven't a clue what "Uncle Han" was trying to say...? Errr, I suppose I'm not liberal when it comes to foreign policy and Israel;-)

The posters on ECCIE are predominantly from the southern parts of the US (largely Texas), so you get a lot of conservative posters here.

In the worldwide gradient of politics, we all know the US is on the conservative end (as much as our conservatives would like to scream otherwise, they don't actually know what socialism is like), so yeah our liberals are conservatives in other countries, etc.

I personally would've liked to have seen Obama take the ball and run with it in his first term when he had a Democrat congress behind him. For better or for worse, I think he should've just rammed whatever legislation the Democrats wanted down everyone's throats and see what happens.

I wish he had as well; then the TP takeover in 2010 would have been that much larger and louder.................and Obama wouldn't have gotten a 2nd term................and all would be better in America.
