Running Against Harvard
Yesterday, Mitt Romney ripped Barack Obama for " spending too much time at Harvard".
Obama, of course, spent 3 years at Harvard Law School. The "foot in mouth" aspect of Romney's attack is that Romney himself spent 4 years at Harvard getting his JD/MBA, donated tens of thousands of dollars to Harvard, and sent 3 of his sons to Harvard Business School.

I agree that, with this electorate, even a "foot in mouth" candidate who insults our intelligence like this can still win.

In all fairness, and to be quite frank, anyone who votes in any state or national election--regardless of the candidate--with the idea that it's going to make a difference, is a dummy. Sadly, that describes practically 100% of the voting public.
It's a shame that people believe the political process is anything other than a sham. Someday, people might wake up and realize that the political world has a fiercely opposing agenda to that of the people they pretend to represent, and all they do is lie to get elected and then continue that hidden agenda once in office. It wouldn't have mattered if McCain or any of the other out-of-touch control freaks got elected; we'd be in the exact same boat we're in now. And guess what? No matter who gets elected, it's going to be business as usual.

At this very moment, there are people dying in various parts of the world fighting for the elusive right to vote. The American democracy is not perfect, but amazingly it is still the envy of most of the world. I would not ridicule people who exercise their right to vote in this country.

The RIGHT to Vote is also a civic responsibility AND Duty! And to while it may seem like ONE vote may not make a difference when We ALL act, heck even a large group acts and votes they are heard and there is a potential impact.
Oh and Jack ... Cornell just beat Harvard in Lacrosse

With Jeremy Lin (and Ryan Fitzpatrick), Harvard has enough sports glory to last at least 100 years!
The untold college sports news this year is MIT making it to the Division III Basketball Final Four for the first time ever (but lost).

That is the attitude those who are entrenched in power want us to believe....the powerbrokers in Washington only truly fear a outraged electorate...The Tea Party movement will seem like a walk in the park for the powers that be...if a large enuough segment of society ever get pissed off enuff....think "Occupy" and "Anonymous" times 10.....
