Serious question....

Anyone know a good divorce lawyer in the Metairie/Kenner area?

The SO got all Sherlock Holmes on my ass and found an email exchange with a provider....and you can guess the rest....

I'm not sure there are any! Recently, it seems, they are all after your wallet! I have several friends going through the process and their attorneys are getting into their pockets big time!

Sorry about your situation, I don't know any good lawyers in N O but was given some advice once about cleaning up my hard drive and email accounts. all your email accounts are stored by your provider, not sure how long they keep them but I've dug up some from over a year on my acccounts by doing a search. Her lawyer will dig even deeper than we can. You might want to contact Shelton for earlier advice, I think he handles divorce's. Good luck

I still am hoping to get through this in one piece, and still married -- but only time will tell! My SO is not a happy camper, and is REALLY stubborn......

Looking back, I should have gotten by Big D years sooner. Was hard to go through, but in the long run sure made for a much better life. I now consider it one of the best things to ever happen to me.

Depending on how that email was obtained, it may not be admissible. Warrants and supeonas are required before the information is obtained. My ex tried tried that crap and it didn't fly. My advice is to wipe your hard drive or at least wipe your in, out and trash boxes. Not just delete, but wipe them. Hopefully you were using gmail or some other web based email. I used to use squatmail because it was totally anonymous. However, the site seems to be gone. I'll look around for another anon email and post it.

Sorry to here that man. I've never been married but I was in that situation as well with an S.O. Apparently a provider.......who I wont name on board who happens to be a member of this site.......had a screener. Well apprently that screener knew my s.o. from an earlier time of life and she revealed a 4 year old email to my s.o. when I used to use my full name when trying to pass ladies screening. Something which I will try my darnest not to do. Since that provider was one of the only ones I used my name for before I knew of p411 and aspd type sites. It came back to bite me in the ass.

To this day I'm not sure whether the provider herself was involved in the situation or if it was merely just the lady who did her screening.... as we had a good time at the time so I never persued asking for fear the screener would be the first contact anyway. Since she had my contact info, is now an HDH here with somewhat of a board presence of admirers, and my girlgoneI figured it would be best to not even worry about it.
