No such thing as "free" anything but if individual States want to set up funds to pay for abortions, that would be perfectly legal even if Roe fails to be upheld in the SC. Acceptable to the populous, now that's a whole different question but states should be free to make that decision and if one doesn't want to live in or do business with a state that takes either position, that's called individual freedom.


Of course a sterilization procedure could work the same way. Problem is with sterilization, not so much abortion like in China, sterilization has the stigma of be "forced", decided by someone other than the person being sterilized and worst case, the government which no thinking human being should be for.


People who have the legal power of attorney to make medical decisions for persons otherwise incapable of making such decisions, should be legal but a state or federal government making that decision? Hell no!

Yes, Joe Biden passed legislation that put a lot of people in jail. But many of them should have never been sent there.

Those who believe Joe and Kamala are going to strike a blow for social justice by reforming our criminal justice system may be sadly mistaken. In fact, looking back at what they've actually done (see post and links below), Trump looks a lot better than they do. His administration deserves a good part of the credit for the First Step Act, which helped to correct some of the injustices that Joe Biden created.

I agree there should be free abortion for women who can't afford it. And it should be provided by private charities, not by the federal government. We've got people in America who, rightly or wrongly, believe abortion is the same as murder. And they don't like their tax dollars being used, in their minds, to kill unborn babies. They've got a point.

Joe Biden at one time was of a similar mind, that the federal government should NOT pay for abortions. He's Catholic. Catholics don't believe in abortion. However, to win the Democratic nomination, he conveniently changed his mind, and now favors government funded abortions.
