Default Celtics in 6 *Cough*

Boston's plan: Lock Kyrie up and make Luka play hero ball. We in it.

Haha you give the Mavericks too much credit. I say Celtics in 5.

Default Mavs in 6

Kyrie was 6-19
Luka had 1 assist(9 total assists for the whole team)
7-27 from 3pt range for the Mavs
That won’t happen again, the Mavs lost to the clippers and Thunder in game 1’s and bounced back, they will be fine. MFFL!!!

I do agree Jason Kidd always loses game one and makes the necessary adjustment but so Does Mazula. When the Mavs brought it down to single digits Mazula called the timeout that broke their momentum. The 3 pointers to me are a given. The Mavs are rated 1-3 in corner 3 pointers, but the Celtics always close out on corner 3 pointers.

Maybe I don't think they'll stop Kristaps.

Celtics have 4 weapons that can shut down Luka and Kyrie. And also with the return of Porzingus I expect it to be a fast ending to this series. Kidd does not have the players to compete with the Celtics.

I’m very concerned. Dallas has relied on Luka getting double teamed. Celtics can switch 1-4 or 1-5 depending who’s on the floor at the 5. And even with Horford at the five they can kind of switch. So the role players are always being guarded. There was way, way too much standing around and watching Luka in game 1. The Mavs don’t really have enough motion offense outside the pick and roll. And, the tell of it is, the offensive output, thin as it was, wasn’t even their biggest problem. Defense was. Kidd has them okaying hard. The question is can he get them playing smart. X’s and O’s aren’t his long suit. As I say, I’ve been optimistic in every series up to now, but I hadn’t watched much eastern conference ball. We looked badly out classed and badly out coached.

I think Luka is having the same problem Anthony Edwards was having. He's playing decent defense, but was gassed Guarding Tatum, Brown, and at times Kristaps. In the 2nd half he looked tired. Lookin forward to see how they adjust. Lively and Gafford need to have production, and Lively can't be in foul trouble.

Lively and Gafford can only produce on the offensive end if the Celtics double off of them. They’re all but helpless offensively is well guarded. We need purposeful motion off the ball. It can’t just be repetitive pick and rolls.
