"Defund" ... Trump and Congress cannot do!

They can quit sending money ... there are private funds available!

Now they may have to change some of their POLITICAL POSITIONS or at least not PUBLISH them as harshly and openly. But I do not think taxpayer money should go to politically biased enterprises in this country.

Public TV and Radio have a useful educational purpose, but should not be used as a political or social platform to modify thought or behavior.

The truth is that cable networking has brought a lot of educational opportunities to television (and audio broadcasting) and the value of Public Broadcasting has been diminished substantially.

And a lot of the chefs on the cooking shows are making BIG money now due to their exposure on PBS and they ALL hawk their books at the end of each show. Why should they get taxpayer paid for advertisement of their business ? And why should lyin lib propaganda get taxpayer paid for shows ( Global Warming, abortion-on-demand, etc. ) or "puff pieces" on crooks like shriLIARy or odummer ?

While she was most known for her cooking shows and introducing America to French cooking as early as the 1960's, most people don't know of her contributions to the O.S.S. during WW-2.
