Obviously there's an effort to take the "moral high ground" by sacrificing the old school Dims: President Clinton, Hillary, Conyers, Franken...the list goes on.

IMO the end game is to make "grab them by their pussy" an impeachable offense. I don't think they'll get there. Most likely it will just blow up in their faces but it will help rid themselves of the old guard.
