Default Government that know where the money is spent!

How can you have confidence in an administration that can't keep track of which auto companies they gave millions of dollars to vs. Ford which declined help and is kicking butt? They keep pointing to Ford as a validation of their bailout. How stupid do they think we are? Maybe a better question is how stupid do they believe the people that voted for them are.

Has anyone else noticed that Toyota's recall problems have soared since GM became Government Motors?

What talking head did you pull that from? You completely posted something devoid of facts and skewed news to use as an opinion piece. You work for Fox? Ford itself admits it has been helped by the bailouts indirectly and while they neglected bailout money, they also have requested billions in a line-of-credit and have taken indirect loans through other programs. They're using government money one way or another to help pay off debts. That was a bad attempt at using news bites to incite Oden.

-now off-topic, did you see that Thor trailer?

General Motors and Chrysler have been blocked from receiving a share of the $25 billion loan program set up by the Department of Energy to provide a low-interest loans for alternative energy vehicle development. Meanwhile, Ford is said to be seeking $11 billion from the program. Under the legislation that authorized the program, only “financially viable” companies may receive loans.

Dishonesty, stupidity, and general lack of common sense at times knows no political affiliation. I have worked with multi-billion dollar corporations where it takes 3 weeks to track down an invoice... which seems like an awful long time in our ERP and paperless-centric world.

Under the Shrubbra administration, while we were out there eagerly looking for WMD's in Iraq the Minerals Management Service (yes, the same one who accepted all those deep-water oil spill plans that listed an expert who had been dead for years...) deleted the section in the offshore oil leases that gave the federal government royalties from any oil extracted from federal lands. That went on for two years till it was discovered. Amazingly enough nobody knew anything about it, how it happened, and of course nobody authorized it.

That was price point f*up under Cheney. BP got off paying millions in fees to the Fed when they over tapped their limits.

Oh, the pun fooled me. I didn't realize it was a serious question.

Speaking of government mandates and General Motors, does anyone seriously believe that many people are going to shell out $41K for a Chevy Volt, even with the $7,500 federal rebate? I mean, have you seen what that thing looks like?

These clowns could take over a child's lemonade stand and figure out how to get it to lose several hundred bucks every day.

And if they have a government subsidy, that lemonade stand could loose $2million a day.
