Default Hawaii?

I'm currently planning a working vacation to Hawaii for December or January and noticed ECCIE doesn't have a Hawaii forum. Any gentlemen or ladies care to share any insight into the local hobby market? Any restaurants or tourists sights that are a must try?

I lived in Guam for a year and miss the island lifestyle. My only fear is I'll visit Hawaii and not want to come home! Though moving there is something me and my SO have seriously talked about, so you never know!

Thanks for your time!

xoxo Sophie

Hopefully someone with more recent knowledge than myself will post but what I remember from 5-8 yrs ago was that the ladies were fairly scarce, of fairly high quality and were more expensive than on the mainland. That was in line with the generally higher prices for almost everything in the Islands.

Thanks for your input John!

I would appreciate hearing from anyone else with more recent experiences.

Take care...

xoxo Sophie

More expensive (but so is McDonald's)

Plenty of supply across price ranges including some "Diamonds" with most all of it on Oahu (Honolulu as ground zero). So from a guy's perspective if you want something special on another island I suggest planning ahead.

Huge massage/spa/AMP business there as well as what are best described as "hostess bars."

Some of the "competing sites" have quite a bit of info.

JB, as for your comment about scarcity, I suspect it was a case of "you needed to know where to look for it" (e.g. ask the cabbie or bellhop where to find a good time) and now the internet has opened things up over the last few years.

BTW, you can't go w/o taking in the Polynesian Village on Oahu.

[And with this being a major Naval Base, you might find some clientele in that demographic. You'd know how to attract it better than I would, but I don't think Armed Forces Radio is much of a venue.]

Entirely possible. When I was there I wasn't looking for AMPS or bar type girls and wasn't on Oahu much. Glad you were able to step in and update for the lady.

I've never been to Hawaii without a date so I can't help on the work side but I can say that in your down time be sure to rent a car and take off. The great thing about Hawaii in my opinion are the numerous ecosystems you can experience in one day.

Hotel Street in Chinatown certainly has a rich history particularly during WWII. There was a fascinating History Channel documentary series on "The History of Sex" a few years back that did a segment on the era. "Millions" of our GI's "served" at $3/pop.

I'll second the car rental thing. The great part about it is the roads are fine & the good news is you are still in the Good ol USofA which affords me a level of comfort in driving myself I don't have in other tropical paradises in RoW.

Been there many times but you might want to contact Alice, she used to live there for a period of time.

Sophie; I too am spending some time in Hawaii over the holidays; a whole month in fact. Soo excited. My best friend lives on Oahu so I have a place to stay, which is what makes such an extended trip possible. I used to live there, long ago, so I do know my way around. Rent a car and explore. The pleasure is in the simple things. Why stay in a 4 star hotel when you can pitch a tent and, when it heats up, jump in the ocean! Although it's not safe for a woman to camp alone. If you are travelling alone you need to always be aware of your surroundings and saftey issues.

As far as advertising; I have been told to post on www.oahuescorts.com
And www.eros-guide.com has a Hawaii section.

There are a lot of girls who work the streets, but my understanding is that upscale companionship is rare, as John Bull said. But, this is a new adventure for me as well so right now it' all speculation.

When you worked in Guam did you dance? There are a slew of strip clubs in Honolulu, run by mamasans, and Japanese hostess bars. Not ideal, but if you need quick cash...pm me and maybe we can stay in touch and share info.
