My health care plan is unaffected by the new law. I had great coverage before it took effect and I will continue to have great coverage afterward. If I am not mistaken 80% of all Americans will have essentially the same coverage, both before and after.

The individuals who previously only had access to Emergency Room care will be the big winners.

I am happy for those who are less fortunate to finally have access to quality health care.

Mine has been affected. Cost has gone up and so has deductibles, out of picke3wt, co-pays and is looking like it will get worse.
It is either Obmacare or the union that administers the plan.

2Pups, I didn't realize that veterinary medicine will be covered by "either Obamacare or the union that administers the plan."

that strange, Obamacare hasn't gone into effect yet ... so that must be the reason health care premiums continue to rise

63% between 2003 and 2011

New York, NY, December 12th, 2012—Average premiums for employer-sponsored family health insurance plans rose 62 percent between 2003 and 2011, from $9,249 to $15,022 per year, according to a new Commonwealth Fund report. The report, which tracks state trends in employer health insurance coverage, finds that health insurance costs rose far faster than incomes in all states. Workers are also paying more out-of-pocket as employee payments for their share of health insurance premiums rose by 74 percent on average and deductibles more than doubled, up 117 percent between 2003 and 2011.
The report, State Trends in Premiums and Deductibles, 2003–2011: Eroding Protection and Rising Costs Underscore Need for Action, finds that total health insurance premiums now amount to 20 percent or more of annual median family incomes in 35 states, affecting 80 percent of the U.S. working-age population. States in the South and South-Central U.S. had the highest costs relative to household income—in West Virginia, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Texas, average total health insurance premiums amounted to more than 25 percent of median incomes.

damn Obama ...

damn Obama ...

That was my thoughts also, I wondered why I would have a price increase before Obama care went into effect. I figured they were following Obama's lead in taxing us for Obama care before it even takes effect.

I'm self employed also.

Typical libs. They think the world is static. Companies or people will not change their behavior because of a government policy. You fools think people should just stand there and take it except you don't. You lying, hypocrites

Odumbocare Will Increase Health Spending By $7,450 For A Typical Family of Four

It was one of candidate Osumbo’s most vivid and concrete campaign promises. Forget about high minded (some might say high sounding) but gauzy promises of hope and change. This candidate solemnly pledged on June 5, 2008: “In an Odumbo administration, we’ll lower premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year….. We’ll do it by the end of my first term as President of the United States.” Unfortunately, the experts working for Medicare’s actuary have (yet again[1]) reported that in its first 10 years, Odumbocare will boost health spending by “roughly $621 billion” above the amounts Americans would have spent without this misguided law....Odumbocare will not save Americans one penny now or in the future.

Certain aspects of Obamacare have been in effect since shortly after it was forced through congress and "deemed" to have passed.

Assup, can you post a copy of that letter from your insurance company. I would like to see it.
