I recently created a "fake" facebook profile so that i can friend/follow/like people and pages that my wife (and social circle) would disapprove of (e.g. pages with pics of almost-naked tattooed babes, lol).

I knew a guy in the military who who subscribed to Playboy because he was too embarrased to buy it at the PX. He didn't want it coming to on-base housing in his name, so he sent in the subscription card with a money order and used an alias.
The magazine showed up fine, but then the junk mail started. They must sell your info to every weirdo in the universe- he got piles and piles of junk mail - all in that alias name. There's probably still some poor jr. officer living in that house now still getting Adam&Eve catalogs and shit twenty plus years later.
