i always get a chuckle when i see a backpage ad full of icons

for instance this headline

Funny you post this. I was going to comment on a couple of ads here recently that do something similar. Some may like it, I find it annoying. Here are the examples:

I've never understood what the benefit of this was. Always just seemed confusing to me, but writing as a girl who posts in plain English, I'm guessing it does have it's benefit.
