I'm still on the phone with the phone company. They may be able to turn my phone on soon, so I'm just waiting to see if they can. If they can't it's a good idea to do what you suggested. Thanks!

Problems fixed. Had to complain alot. They wanted me to wait up to two days to be able to use my phone. That was not alright with me! So I complained and complained some more and then they eventually connected me to someone who could activate my phone immediately.
So....
My phone is back on! !
