Just so the OP doesn't get himself in trouble, that's not true. Whether you film it or not, it's the same situation, prostitution. The same defenses a pornographic filmmaker has do not apply to a run of the mill provider. Here is a short article very generally explaining the difference:

It's not as simple as no camera vs. camera. A lot of it is the willingness to prosecute prostitution as opposed to chasing porn, a multi billion dollar industry who will fight tooth and nail to protect themselves and have won handedly over and over again in a much more conservative time period.
