Before someone takes a vacation from the board. Points are given as hopefully a warning for that behavior to stop.

Just read the "Forum Guidelines" in professoreccie's signature. Looks like rule #6 applies to the "Thread Topic" rules.
In rule #14 it says if a mod "issue specific instructions or direction to a poster" beacuse said poster is "off topic" and said user disregaurds those instructions it may "result in a penalty".

I didn't see any details on the points system though. I'll see if I can find more details or if a mod already knows can they please share it. I also don't see any specifics for points or penalties based on specifics violations. Any more specific information on this would be appreciated too.

To answer JJ's last post, yes you will receive a PM letting you know you have been warned and if you have points.

I've been warned for different stuff in the past but the only time I actually had a "points infraction" was for posting a screen shot of a message a provider sent (rule #5). That message I posted lead me to believe the provider had a fake client account or a white night snooping for her in the "mens lounge" and I was just trying to help my brothers out BUT it is in the rules not to share private messages / emails etc and I got 5 points for that one....

BTW I don't see anything in the rules that says a "points violation" can be issued for being off topic in a thread". Only if a "mods specific instructions or direction to a poster" are ignored.

Sorry if all the above is "off topic" for this thread. Just trying to answer a few questions I saw posted.
