Does anybody know where I can get cabrito?
I just noticed a thread on the coed boards regarding mexican food and it started me thinking...is there any restaurant in San Antonio or nearby city that serves cabrito? If not...is there any meat store that anyone knows where I can buy cabrito to BBQ myself?

Mexican Manhattan downtown has a delicious cabrito plate. If you want to buy a whole cabrito try Bolners market, pick up some steaks while your there. Even HEB sells smaller pieces if your not looking for the whole thing .

Whenever I hit up Mi Tierra, I always get the Monterrey Special (cabrito) with no sauce or sauce on the side.
Johnny's Mexican Restaurant on North New Braunfels Ave and 35 is supposed to have some kickass cabrito too.

I recall there used to be a very good restaurant SW corner of Blanco and Loop 410. A family one that just did outstanding cabrito. i sure miss that place. Name escapes me but same guy that did the Thanksgiving dinners downtown.

Went to Bolners Meat Market yesterday (GeorgeLynch recommendation) and bought a whole cabrito for $75. Baked it as recommended by the guys down at the market....SWEEEEEET! The meat just fell off the bone when I went to cut it off.
