This looks pretty serious. It seems that big Sports Manufacturers were funneling cash through Coaches to High School Blue Chippers in order to persuade them to attend a particular University.

Back when I was young, when the star running back suddenly started driving a new Camaro, you knew he had signed with a major College.

There was a picture of the four Coaches involved on TV, but not in the Link.

Any guesses as to what the defense will be?

A buddy of mine played College Basketball at a Texas University. When he was recruited he went and visited the school. He had his first threesome and signed his letter of intent the next day.

IMO ANY college getting done for this should have its athletic division SHUT DOWN for at least 5 years. ALL SPORTS. Not just the one that the coach was bribing other schools to benefit. Because the NCAA Controls how colleges can get those players..

OR are you OK with a college paying off mom and dad to PUSH their son to go play ball for X college..

I don't have a problem with that.

NCAA can set the rules all they want as long as they pertain to the football field. They should stay out of academic requirements.

I'm also dubious on the NCAA having the authority to fine public state universities with fines.
