Just celebrated my 10th year as a Texun'
Ten years ago this summer I moved from Colorado to Texas.
I realized my dream of self employment living here, and I have made so many wonderful friends. This state is so unique. I never get tired of looking around when I drive across it. I love all the history here as well.
I am a native southern Californian, I have lived in northern and southern California, Hawaii, Idaho and Colorado. But I have never felt more at home and as happy as I have in Texas. I would not care to live in Austin, but I love the food and the music there.
Texas is the best state, with the best people and the best opportunities. Best ten year anniversary ever. This place is home.

Thank you, and I appreciate your posts as well.
I try to post nice things here, there is so much negativity. Not everyone will respond in kind, that is on them.
And I realize not everyone likes living in Texas. Tyler is probably the prettiest and less congested parts of Texas to live. It is soooo peaceful here!
I decided to edit out my family connection info in Austin that I previously posted about. I visit Austin often so I read the Austin posts. Very quiet in the Tyler section.

Congratulations on your ten year anniversary. It's so fortunate to really be happy living where you want to be. Also, I have to agree with you about Austin, it's a great place to visit.

Sorry Cinderbella not all of us Texas guys use this reference to ladies. Her thread is as much a coed topic as some of the crap you post.
Glad you came to Texas.

I've lived all over the country and Austin is by far the coolest most interesting city ripe with opportunity for those creative minds with a fire under their ass.
Has twenty year flown by so fast? Guess I'll die here with no complaints.

Very quiet in the Tyler section.

Agree with you on this. I do miss the Tyler landscape compared to dfw. The tyler section is quiet because we communicate on the back channel and don't let drama hit the board.
Edit: Happy 10th!
