Some thoughts on the Lodge

The last week or so I’ve branched out from my usual habit of BabyDolls in Dallas to visit the Lodge more.

I thought I’d share a few thoughts on it.

This place has the hottest girls in town. If you combined the lineups from The Lodge and BDD, TL would have 7-8 of the top 10, and that’s being generous to BDD.

That being said, there are a few that are on the lower end of the scale and just don’t seem to fit.

The average age of girls at TL is definitely higher than what you see at BDD. Not that it’s a bad thing.

Some of the girls are very very persistent. They won’t take no for an answer. I believe there is not as much money available to earn there in total as at BDD, so some of the lower end girls need to squeeze as much as they can from each opportunity and can not afford to easily give up when they know they might be able to get a “pity dance” or two.

Dances are ok, but not as good as BDD. Plenty of friction and hands are allowed, but my observation is the opportunity for ts, se, and L1 are not as plentiful as at bdd. The opportunities for otc seem much better though. Go figure.

I haven’t seen any Cubans at TL. But they do have more Russians.

The food there is restaurant quality.

Cover at night is $10, compared to $7 at BDD, so it’s comparable.

I gave up on The Lodge. The main reason was that there's no good place on the main floor or in the Library for dances, and the VIP price is much higher than BDD. The second reason is that the girls want way too much for VIP, and they want to be paid by the hour (at a ridiculous rate). I've learned my lesson about paying by the hour, and I will only pay by the "session" now. I almost went for a VIP membership, but could never make myself pull the trigger because of the rate the girls ask for. On the plus side, the food is great there (or at least it was the last time I was there).

What about OTC potential at the lodge? I've only been about twice in 15 years and while the girls were not bad looking, it didn't seem like they were committed to the complete dancer experience, which includes at least a couple of OTC regulars. I got the vibe that this club was a lot like clubs of the old days, i.e. the old Mirage strip club that used to be on Industrial Blvd (I guess it's Riverfront now?), where girls made money selling dreams, mind games, and weak dances to guys in the club.

I'm not really picky but the bartender was unable to mix the following cocktails at my last visit:
1. A Gibson (martini with an onion instead of an olive)
2. A Gimlet (didn't know what it was)
3. A Manhattan (claimed she had no sweet vermouth or cherries)
4. An Old-Fashioned (had the waitress come ask me for the recipe)
I settled for a Martini and was asked how dirty did I want it to be. I told the bartender,"Not dirty at all." I got a quizzical look.

I am not sure if Lodge is still selling lifetime VIP memberships but for action in the club, it'd be tough to get it in the non-VIP areas.

There are some old guard type women who still want $500 an hour to sit in VIP, and there are still some guys dumb enough to pay it.

Truth is that there are plenty of hotties there who are late on the rent, spending every dollar they make on things that go up the nose, and have their loser boyfriends sucking them dry. They are willing to be paid by the dance and are willing to do extras for a reasonable amount.

TL has seen a drop in liquor sales, and the owner recently freaked out and canned some of the managers. I think the owner wanted what what a door girl told me when she thought the Lodge should go back to the exclusive days of high end champagne and meals: the finest women and the finest food. I get the image, but there are too many women willing to sell their pussies for so little these days.

How is the guy spending thousands on a woman and hundreds on a meal supposed to feel when he learns that I banged his "exclusive" companion all night for $300? The sugar baby model killed the Lodge and most strip clubs. It allowed women to be discrete whores. Only reason a lot of guys go to the clubs is to find OTC/SB material.

Sadly for them, the Lodge's business model is broken, but there is fun to be had with bountiful opportunities for OTC action and in the VIP. One thing that surprised me though and is a huge plus for ITC play is the Lodge has no cameras in VIP.

The simple reason I don't go to the Lodge is because of BDD.

Both clubs compete on the same customer base. But BDD provides better experience. The Lodge seems to capture the higher end of the base, which is definitely has more money. And money is where most dancers would like to work.

In that analysis, The Lodge may sink because of their own failed analysis of the market they are trying to capture.

I do understand the market they are trying to capture and they pretty much line up the resources to make sure they are addressing that market.

I'm sure hoping they will get the audience they deserve. Good luck with their Biz Plan, though.

Experience-wise, I will be going to BDD and have fun in that place.

My first experience at The Lodge was about 10 years ago. A friend of mine and I where buying cars at a local auction. He bought a car that had a bonus to the buyer an received $1200 in Visa gift cards. So we headed to The Lodge with drinks and food on him. After an hour I was in love with the place. 2 hours in and I bought a VIP membership for the year. It was $750 for a year back then, but totally worth it. We went up stairs with a couple of pretty dancers and had a blast. The waitress that sold me the membership exchanged cell numbers. I would text her when headed there and she would reserve me a booth and set up a dancer to spend the afternoon with. She knew I wanted girls who played. As a frequent member, I also became friendly with Dawn, one of the managers that I saw a lot up stairs. I never received extras down stairs or tried to get them. But if you had any game upstairs is where it is at. I developed several otc relationships. It was a great place for me.
