Here's a quick breakdown: Disney owns ESPN. Disney, Nike, Apple and many other NBA corporate sponsors do a lot of business and have a large manufacturing base in China.
They aren't going to rock the boat. President Trump calling out the Chinese as being against the American worker is a threat to many companies bottom line.
