Just because i am curious, If someone was coming from out of town and you only were able to show them 3 things in Dallas, what would they be?

while I am more inclined to agree with Tinman--a lot has to do with your visitors age and what they would like to see. And when they are coming==

Friends that come in from out of town always like Fort Worth better. Dallas is a big city but has nothing particularly unique about it.

Traffic, political symbols on vehicles and clothes, and erratic weather patterns (allergies included). The fourth would be generic and basic restaurants.

Fort Worth stockyards are very active now, especially during the evenings. Yellowstone and all the other Taylor Sheridan shows have made this a popular place now. Eat at Joe T's is a good experience but food is "ok".

The secret to a memorable Joe T’s experience is to go with a group of friends you love, on a nice day, and order top shelf margaritas as you wait for a table outside on the huge, beautiful patio.

By the time the food arrives you will already be happy you came.

Arrow This is all you need...

Just visit Grandscape in the Colony. It's America's premiere venue for live entertainment, restaurants, shopping, nightclubs, bars and much more. Great fun for everyone regardless of age and all at one location.

Dallas has a great music scene with a large variety of venues, genres and artists. Fav venues include The Granada, The Doublewide and the Meyersen for the Dallas Symphony.

Picnic at the Dallas Arboretum

Walk, run or ride the Katy Trail in spring or summer and end up at the Katy Trail Icehouse

Dallas depends on the person and vibes. Stuff my visitors loved

Trolley
Uptown
Deep ellum
Lower Greenville
State Fair
DMA
Texas BBQ
Fine dining - Bobs, Nick & Sam’s, Al biernets, Uchi, Nobu

Ft worth is always a blast if you want that cowboy/rodeo theme. West 7th used to be amazing but the have to clean up the area. Stockyards is cool.

1. Food:
Deep Ellum, Mckinney, Bishop Arts, Art Park, Legacy Hall, 121&DNT
If they haven't had Tex-Mex or Texas BBQ , try that (excepting pork--doesn't compete well).

2. Museums:
Relax before or after at Klyde Warren and walk to one of the museums. Do they still serve beer/wine at the Perot? Makes for a decent way to inhale natural history.
The Book Depository is probably the only Dallas-unique thing here (other than being close to Fort Worth).

There are plenty of Brew pubs and wine bars, and music venues. A lot depends on where y'all are.

3. There are plenty of disc golf courses and regular golf courses. I don't do it, but apparently there are lots of tennis and pickleball courts. There are 2 sand volleyball bars at 35 & Beltline (a little cold now), one in The Village off Greenville, one up closer to Lake Lewisville. Later in the year... lake lewisville.

Bonus: I have woman relatives who could spend all day in North Park Mall, and I'm sure there are other places to shop.
