How would a girl go about drumming up business on a board like this when we can't advertise?

Do you realize how expensive SCUBA gear is and travel to do it?

I know far too well the cost of scuba. Helps to know some groups that do swap meets for gear. Still flying to Caribbean locations to have clear waters adds up and costs more than this hobby at times. Be certain to post a scuba wishlist as well.

Rest assured that your challenge is shared as in the Connecticut (also Oklahoma) forum a lady is lamenting trying to get started in the hobby while doing all the right things. Your site and profile are great. About the only thing I can see that may help is to reduce your minimum visit to 1 hour. At 2 hours, it can really be a half day visit for some gents depending on their commute to you, limiting the number of clients available to you. Consider it a trial size, or a sampling. I understand your business model and avoiding BNG/30 minute clients. Even those take time and effort. Your desire to have true connections is fantastic. Some guys just need to dip their toes in the water before investing in all the gear.
