Happy Birthday to ME
Have reached the ultimate number. Turned 69 today. Seen a lot of changes thru the years. Seen 2 different centuries, 8 different decades. I can write cursive and can drive a stick. Remember dial phones and rabbit ear antennas. Good way to communicate was sending letter with a stamp. Remember the old beeper days. Then had to find phone booth. No personal computers. No laptops. People actually had conversations.Houston has changed being a native. No loop, I think, no beltway, no grand parkway. Malls were being built. First ones were Northwest Mall and Northline Mall. Drive in movies were a lot of fun. Times were so much simpler. Hope rains have slow down for everyone.

Congrats on another trip around the sun, DE!
It’s amazing how much has changed in the last 40-50 years.

I remember Astrodome and Astroworld. And the Colt 45’s. LOL.

No idea why but I thought for sure you were in your early 50's tops. You do certainly seem wise and knowledgable about hobbying. My mind is often boggled by the idea of someone being around long enough to witness an entire city come up from nothing. I can't imagine a Houston without loops or malls. Being older must be an absolute mindfuck. I hope to one day reach your level of wisdom. Happy birthday!

How about I remember when the Galleria area was all Italian truck farms. We used to go out there on Sundays to see friends. Those Italians had 99 year leases on their land too.
