Maybe he was a good police officer. This article and the question posed is predicated upon the premise that all immigrants are somehow less than citizens.

Yes, he never should have been a police officer because he was not a citizen. That’s a given because he broke immigration law. However it does seem like they hired him because they needed to fill a position and he fit all the other criteria needed.

Maybe we should figure out a way for illegal immigrants to earn their citizenship rather than just deporting them en masse.

And that is the fault of congress. Until they get off their ass and fix the immigration laws ICE and BP need to enforce existing laws. All these liberal congressmen whining about the deportation need to STFU and do their job. If they are so concerned about the illegals then fix the system. You don’t think that the ICE tactics under Trump and Stephen Miller are just as performative. They could deport just as many illegal immigrants as they are now without making a circus show out of it. At least then when the democrats whined about it they would look even more ridiculous than they do now.

Trump and his military deployment, the pickups at courts and churches, the deportation to countries where they didn’t come from, the ignoring of court rulings. At least the democrats have a point when they “whine” about it.

You don't want that. That's the human resource the ruling class will use to overthrow you, the American. There is no longer a rule of law in America and the lines have been blurred. If the illegals are fluent in the English language and learn about the history of America maybe an exception could be made for fast tracked American citizenship, but not for foreigners who don't know how to speak English.
