Secretary of Defense Hegseth calls rare meeting of General Officers and Admirals.

Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, has called a meeting of General Officers and Admirals next Tuesday September 30th at Marine base Quantico.

The reason for the meeting has not been released at this time.

Security is seen as a problem since so many high ranking officers have been summoned to the same place at the same time.

Some speculate that this is the start of a reduction in force of high ranking officers. In other words a loyalty purge.

If not that then what is the reason for the meeting?

I think it's pretty obvious why. Imma thunk'n it's because now that they are rounding up some of the higher profile malcontents like Comey, Brennan, O'Bama et al, there is a high potential that they will flee the country. Also, as part of the warrior ethos, they are very competitive.

As such, I would think he will challenge them to be on the look out and will reward them in some fashion. How I'm not sure. But my gut says that if Comey or one of the other skips the country, the troop that finds them will get to watch nudie flicks of Sydney Sweeny and all the others will have to view nudie flicks of Hillary Clinton, perhaps.

It's likely all about motivation. Otherwise, we'll have to wait and see.

Hell hath frozen over! The Waco Kid and TxDot agree! I think you're right. Or that's the best guess so far anyway. If you're right I suspect it's more about reducing costs and making the armed forces more efficient than loyalty.

Sure hope you're wrong. Well... actually, I know you are. However, it might be possible he is preparing to send them into some HOT war zones and might be trying to chince-out over paying combat pay, since they are not "technically" on foreign soil.

But I still think the places like Chitcago, Portlandlandia, DC and New York are hazardous duty and deserve combat pay levels.
