Now the Democrat States (almost all of them) are suing President Trump for SNAP (Food Stamps)
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx2px0zmz8mo
Even if they are successful, what will they (Democrat States) do in December if the government shutdown is still in effect?
Where else will they sue Trump to dig into to get the billions for December? January? February? So on and on?
Quote:
Half of US states have sued the Trump administration over its plans to halt funding for food aid used by more than 40 million low-income Americans.
States involved in the lawsuit include: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin.
The states hope to force the administration to use a roughly $6bn (£4.5bn) emergency contingency fund for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Snap), also known as food stamps.
Even if the contingency fund is used to help Snap beneficiaries, it would only cover about 60% of one month of benefits (over $9 billion a month).
|
60%!!
So only 60% of the 41.7+ millions who were receiving SNAP will get to eat for November?
How do they decide which 60% receive their November SNAP?

Cruelty is the hallmark of the MAGA regime.
This is further proof.
How many SNAP recipients in the “good states?”
Maybe Trump will deport them all. Or let them starve. Or get one of his less subtle buddies - like Putin or Netanyahu - to ICE them for real.
Would that work for you?

If "Republican States" were led by anyone who wasn't obsessed with proving their fealty to Trump, who actually cared about their constituents, they would be suing also.

When (whenever) the Democrats in the Senate vote for the "clean CR" bill to open the government, then there will e money available to fund SNAP and all other programs and functions of government.
It is all in the hands of the Senators from those deep blue Democrat run states.

I often repeat the same thing over and over too, hoping it will make it true. But I still only have a 5 inch cock.

Know your roll and shut your mouth
Seems as though those State don't even know their roll. They should be talking with one of their own, Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE). Besides, to the Dems in Congress, the people in those States are all just sacrificial leverage, pawns and peons.
Quote:
Coons: Shutdown ‘Our Only Moment of Leverage,’ Has ‘Gotten Us Focused’ on Changing on Health Care
by Ian Hanchett 25 Oct 2025
On Friday’s broadcast of C-SPAN’s “Ceasefire,” Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) said that because Republicans control both chambers of Congress and the White House, the government shutdown “is our only moment of leverage,” and while shutting down the government is “a very unpleasant tool to use, it’s gotten us focused on what we have to do to change direction on health care.”
Coons said, “[T]his is principally a fight over health care and trying to prevent what’s going to happen on November 1, which is millions of Americans get notices that their health insurance is going to double in cost. That’ll impact all Americans. We’re going to see emergency room wait times go up, total health coverage go down. President Trump ran for president on lowering costs and making America healthy again. He’s actually doing the opposite, and the consequences of the so-called big, beautiful bill, in terms of throwing millions of Americans off of health care in the coming years, is something that Democrats consider a crisis.”
He continued, “Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. Frankly, this is our only moment of leverage, and although a very unpleasant tool to use, it’s gotten us focused on what we have to do to change direction on health care.”
|
So instead of doing anything productive, like opening the government and working to resolve anything, they are throwing a tantrum and decimating their esteemed voting blocks, because they still so desperately want unending deficits of Other Peoples Money to redistribute, which will roost the chickens in their children's and grand children's roost.
And yet, the obviously expendable rubes clamor for Mo' of Other People's Money. Yum, yum, come get me some...

No it's not. It's in the hands of the Senators from the farm belt states who would rather see their constituents starve and die of disease than go against Twitler.
Just like everything this administration does, the people suffer so the ruling class can dance in a gilded palace.
Sound familiar?

Seems you've missed the fact that it isn't Republicans who are refusing to vote on a bill to fund these things, it's the DEMOCRATS. And the fact that your side has been caught in interviews admitting that they want to hurt as many people as possible because they (stupidly) think it's going to help them. People see the facts and blame the Dems for this shutdown.

To be more explicit about funding and re-opening the government:
The House of Representatives have already passed a continuing resolution to temporarily fund the government. That bill is now in the Senate where it has been voted on. At each Senate vote, the Senators from states dominated by progressive ;Liberials have voted against it. The Re4publican Senators have already voted to re-fund the government.
Now it is up to the Democrats.
The Feral government can be re-opened as soon as the Senate Democrats vote to fund it.

First, a small correction. You are supposed to say it as "YOUR side." I've seen that phrase used here hundreds of times and it is always posted that way.
Now, Please show us your source for the highlight above. Where exactly is this being said and who is saying that. No one mainstream, that's for sure. They are saying quite the opposite.
(PLEASE God...let it be the Babylon Bee link posted in another thread!)

Why weren’t appropriations bills passed before the need for the CRs? Republicans found a way to stay and negotiate amongst themselves to pass the Big Bullshit Bill. The issues that aren’t resolved regarding the AcA subsidies could have been resolved prior to the need for another CR. Remember this arose originally in March. Supposedly they agreed to resolve it then when Schumer and others voted for the CR. Instead the republicans passed the Bullshit Bill. So of course the whole “trust us to negotiate this time” carries zero weight.

Another Democrat Judge appointment by Obama who thinks she has the authority when she doesn't. She also doesn't understand what is going on.
She says President Trump stopped SNAP. He didn't. It stopped because the Federal government shut down and there is no budget for it.
She is also considering forcing President Trump to tap into a DEA fund (which is not for SNAP) to send SNAP on November 1st.
She doesn't have the authority. Only Congress can do that.
Also that fund is only good enough for about $6 billion when the total amount of money needed to fund SNAP EACH MONTH for everyone who is on it is $9 billion.
So again whom among the 41.7 million people who are on SNAP gets it and who won't? How will they decide that?
Then what will she do in December if the Federal Government is still shut down?
What other funds is she going to order President Trump to tap into come December and January and each month the Federal Government remains shut down ?

I would suggest these SNAP recipients and even those that are not learn to hunt and fish. It's time to become more self-reliant than ever. The Government is not concerned about anyone's health, safety or happiness.
