The
government censors in China have removed the scene showing Kate Winslet's bare breasts in the 3D re-release of the movie
Titanic, even though it was shown in the 2D version.
This has prompted many complaints by disgruntled viewers, such as this blogger: "I've been waiting almost 15 years, and not for the 3D icebergs."
This is the amazing explanation given by the officials for the censorship: "Considering the vivid 3D effects, we fear that viewers may reach out their hands for a touch and thus interrupt other people's viewing. We've decided to cut off the nudity scenes."
