Default I'll Take Obama as Commander in Chief ANY DAY!

Here is a decision-maker, not some empty suit who reads "My Pet Goat" during critical times.

Clips from Rock Center of how the OBL mission and the decisions were accomplished was hosted and narrated by Brian Williams of NBC last night.

Shots including video of the President and interviews about the mindsets of many of the participants who were in the Situation Room are in the link below.

You never before mentioned you served in uniform. What was your branch of service? BTW, what was Odumbo's branch of service?

I had Ford and Carter. No one in Washington gave much of a shit about the Army in 75-78.

If it's the truth, how do you do better than that?
The footage might have been NBC editted but probably not NBC shot
Since they are still stinging from an editting issue it is probably safe to say the footage hasn't been retouched.

If only the military was allowed to vote, Obama would lose in a landslide. You may think he's a great commander in chief, but the people he's commanding despise him.

Joe my son is in the military and he is able to vote. Are you talking about the problems they have had in the past with the absentee voting for some overseas?

No, I meant if only the military was allowed to vote, and no one else, Obama would lose in a landslide.

1. Members of the armed forces can vote.
2.Great? I would say he is up to the job and seems to have been doing a good job so far.
3. They despise him? What do you base that statement on?

I never said the military couldn't vote. Can you read? I said that if ONLY the military could vote, as in the military and no one else. As far as the military despising Obama, that's common knowledge. The military is all volunteer. Do you actually think liberals are just as likely to volunteer as conservatives? Liberals have a long history of being anti-military. It's only natural that most people in the military dislike liberals. Carter gutted the military; Reagan built it up.

The most recent example of the military's contempt for Obama is the Navy Seals that went public to express their anger at the way Obama has politicized the killing of Bin Laden. So, yes of course if the military alone chose our next president, they wouldn't pick a Marxist scum bag like Obama

Service men and women have often been disenfranchised.

Almost 40% of overseas voters received their ballots too late to met imposed deadlines for return in 2008. The most common reason cited for rejecting registrations, ballot requests, and ballots was missed deadlines. Election officials cite “late arriving ballots” as the number one reason for ballot rejection.

Absentee voting fix not enough, advocates say

By Karen Jowers - Staff writer
Posted : Thursday Jun 11, 2009 12:45:59 EDT
A bill that seeks to improve the absentee voting process for overseas military members has passed the House Administration Committee, but advocates for military and overseas voters say it falls short of providing the comprehensive fix that is needed. . . .

There are many steps in the absentee ballot voting process, and shipping the ballot back is only the last step, said Susan Dzieduszycka-Suinat, president of the Overseas Vote Foundation.

“The irresistible urge to focus on the last step of the process, the step that is held hostage by all others that precede it, is an unfortunate distraction if it is the only measure taken in the face of other very real remaining challenges,” she said. “Speeding the return of the voted ballot won’t help much if the voter’s request for the ballot is late and if is/her ballot does not show up in time to be cast.”

You have no proof this is the general feeling of the troops. The same proof you had that Carter gutted the military. Oops! I was the one with the proof. You were the one that lied.

Can you read? Where did I say you said they couldn't vote? Nowhere.

As far as only the military voting, If your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle.

I love your version of common knowledge. When everybody knows something that can't be proven by a link, we'll just believe the person who talks in absolutes. Right?

Wrong. You’re just another guy talking out of his ass until you show some proof.

Liberals have a long history of being anti-draft. You put forth these statements without a shred of evidence and proclaim them to be written in the margins of the 10 commandments.

Seek the truth no further. I have just told it to you.

What a joke.

Were you ever in the military? If you weren’t this conversation is pointless. Veterans hate it when non-veterans pretend to know what the military is like. How do I know that? Because I’m a veteran. When I was in the Army, the E1-4s were mostly liberal. The war had been over 3 years and almost all had volunteered. Most of the "do 1 year in jail or 3 years in the Army" where red-neck country boys. You know, conservatives. Liberalism vs conservatism is more likely to be decided by age than having joined the service.

Conservatives more likely to volunteer? By what ratio? What is the source of your data?

That seal in politics that spoke up was real convincing. In general, active duty SEALs are too disciplined and team orientated to ever talk about something like that with outsiders. Plus they have more important things to think about. An active duty soldier showing his contempt for officers above him gets a chance to play wack-a-mole like that Colonel in Leavenworth who missed movement and said he doubted Obama’s authority to be President. What’s he saying now? Maybe I wish I hadn’t lost my retirement. Or the Marine E5 with the facebook page. All good examples of stupid soldiers that have no place among our honorable troops

You hear a Rush or some such loud mouth make lots of noise and you think it’s a majority.

Show me any hard data to back up a single “fact” you’ve put forth.

If you find one, keep looking because I don’t think you know much about anything. You’re going to have to prove your words.

Like a smart person would.

Smart people don’t say “of course” unless they can prove the obvious.
