Egypt military detains hundreds following violence (AP)

By SARAH EL DEEB | Associated Press

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt’s military officials moved swiftly Saturday to prosecute protesters they blamed for an attack on the Defense Ministry. . . The fierce street battles on Friday raised to new heights the tension between the generals, who assumed power after Hosni Mubarak stepped down last year, and their critics, predominently secular and liberal groups but now spearheaded by hard-line Islamists.

The citizens are just showing they traded a dictator for a group of generals who are running the country as dictators.they were supporting the Army for the disposal of Mubarak, but when the elections have not been happening they are protesting again.

Religious extremism in any form has plagued humanity ever since the first man looked up and thought he had some type of devine , and he needed to make sure everyone else saw the vision as well. Many times, on pain of death.

It is just a matter of time untill the Islamic Fudementalist take over Egypt. The Generals are just biding time. They will cash in their offshore bank accounts, move to the villa in Switzerland, and leave the Country to rot in it's own ignorance, and religious fevor.

As you choose to deflect, you'd do well to remember a more suitable idiom, such as: “Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.”

Egypt is doomed to be a Hellhole. They've replaced a dictatorship with the beginnings of a majority rule system. The problem is that the mind of the average citizen has been poisoned with Islam. They will probably vote for Sharia law which will take their freedom away again. It's hopeless.

I actually agree with you. Egypt is worse shape for the USA than before. But there was nothing we could really do to stop it. Damned if you do , damned if you don't on that one.
