The day before..or the day after...?

Hi killeen!
Is it a bad idea to visit the day before, or the day after a holiday?
Ex: the day before or after memorial day, 4th of july...etc

I found myself with some time off work, and visiting my friends stationed in killeen. Although its a great time to hang out with them....is it a bad time to visit, to play naughty?

Would the entire holiday week be a bad time, since most working folks may have an abnormal work schedule that week? Or is that even more of a reason to play? Abnormal work week = abnormal hours kept = easier to find time to play??

i believe it all hinges on what day of the month that particular holiday falls on. most of this community is military based as well as alot of businesses based around the military community. so with that being said. i would tend to think visiting on the holidays closest to military pay days 1st or 31st if direct deposit, and the 15th would be your most lucrative

Military paydays are always good. Aside from that, i think it just depends.

If you do decide to come up for 4th of July. Here in Killeen there is always a freedom fest concert here and the fireworks display is amazing. Hope you have fun in your travels.
