I gave up looking for it and just hit the dumpling aisle at H-Mart. Mmmmmm...dumplings.

Actually, I use Urban Spoon when I want to find a restaurant. There are five that are well reviewed.

  1. Hong Kong Royale
  2. Kirin Court
  3. Maxim's
  4. J.S. Chen's Dimsum and...
  5. J.S. Chen's Dimsum & BBQ

Kirin Court is pretty good. It's located off of Belt Line Road and 75. Always busy on the weekends; expect to wait at least 30 minutes for a table depending on when you go.

Voting for Kirin and Maxim's. Truth about Kirin being super busy; I tend to go to Maxim. The place is HUGE so it can accommodate more people. I never had to wait for a table and the carts are abundant.

There is a restaurant in Richardson that is recognized as Dallas' finest DIM SUM. It is called Jeng Chi and is located on Greenville north of Beltline Rd. Take 75 to Main St (Belt Line) and go East. At the Beltline Rd. intersection go North (left). Go pass the first red light and take the first right into the parking area. Then you have to hunt for Jeng Chi. They also serve other foods besides Dim Sum.

Speaking as an Asian guy who grew up & lived here most of my life there are only two dim sum places worth going to and that is either Maxim's or Kirin Court in Richardson. Lots of variety & the food is fresh plus that part of town is basically Chinatown.

Tip: It's next to Caravel and being blocked from the road by a place called Canton.
