Default WHATS YOUR HONORABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS...PLEASE SHARE!!

So many interesting & entertaining threads...Yet I rarely see any sweet positive ones...Behind every character we create theres a human being behind typing away on there desktops, laptops, cells..ect....

Perhaps if you share the honorable side more respect can be given to you....So many judge & rant about characters without really knowing who there even talking about...annoying for sure

So here I go if you respect me more or less its on you but I just feel that positivity is healthy to your soul!!

I saved a babys life by breaking the mothers car window...baby had 5 minutes to live becoming dehydrated

I saved an elderly mans life by running to his table while he choked & turning blue...

I took care of my father on his death bed for a whole year...changing his diaper, feeding him through a tube, & aspirating his saliva so he wouldnt choke..then he peacefully passed in the home I live in to this day...thats why I dissapeared from the hobby scene for so long...

But im back & im proud to be who I am & what I do to maintain my home at peace!

Please share if you wish if not its cool thank you for reading my thread!

Nothing like yours, I was tubing the Guadalupe and a four or five yr old boy had got trapped under tree roots on the bank. His mother stood on the bank screaming, I slipped off my tube, swam to the child, pulled him up and gave him to mother.

Don't know if he would have drowned, but wasn't going to wait to find out.

Did look like Mom couldn't unfreeze to jump in to help, so who knows?

Luckily the SO had caught my tube, so we continued floating down the river.

On this, keeping kids out of trouble on the river, happens probably a hundred times a year, so nothing like yours.

Good on ya SC. Taking care of parents and grandparents is easy (demanding but necessary and can be draining), watching them die is much, much harder, but fulfilling if they get to pass peacefully and loved.

Enough of this mess. Who's up for tacos and a shot of Patron?

Nice thread SENSUALCITA ! Taking care of your father was an honorable thing to do . Myself I am lucky enough to not have that experience yet . I guess the positive things I do are as follows . I volunteer at Salvation Army serving meals on the holidays (Thanksgiving & Christmas). Without hesitation always help a friend when asked . I found an elderly ladies diamond wedding ring in a booth at a restaurant , instead of pawning it , turned it in to manager . She got it back (60 years of marriage) and wrote a very nice letter to editor of newspaper . I'm able to grow long hair , so every 2 years I cut it off and donate to place that makes wigs for cancer kids . This year I volunteered to be the Elf at hobby Christmas party . Hope everyone does something positive this year , and in the new one .

My ancient brain can't think of all the things right now, and I could never be as sweet and honorable as SweetsualCita, but,
I am heading out now to deliver Meals On Wheels

Aw this is an awesome thread.

My most honorable accomplishment is being a mom. I know it sounds corny but every breath I take is for my kids. Everything I do is for them. I rarely buy myself things because I'd rather buy them stuff.

I also foster animals and adopt them out. I give rides to people with little kids walking around. This Thanksgiving I am helping out needy families with thanksgiving day dinner. And I try to do random acts of kindness as much as possible with the simple saying of pay it forward.

You're awesome, girl.

LL003 before I changed my handle used to volunteer every Thanksgiving morning to help feed the homeless at a shelter near where I went to college.

Each Christmas I buy a bunch of toys and donate them to local orphanages.

Doing my best to raise honest, hard working, unselfish blessings. I often pay for someone's meal with out them knowing. I can not turn down a person in need - even if I am down to my last dollar - my daddy taught me that.
Other than that...I refrain from going postal on disrespectful mean spirited people.

I dont have any honorable mentions. Im just THAT awesome. Jk!!

Ive never saved a life, rescued someone, etc. I volunteer with kids that are less fortunate. I guess that counts. Oh and like the rover, ill be an elf at the xmas party for a childrens shelter. Did it last year too!!

Ha! That would be crazy if we were both elfing the same party!!!

Helping others is definately a form of saving a life...way to go!!

FunwithAjax thats a very wise comment!

I refrain from going postal on disrespectful mean spirited people.

I found that these mean spirited kind of people usually hang themselves with there nasty comments....Karma

My Daddy taught me the same thing except I dont give to any man that can work. Only woman & children.

My Abuelita always told me all my life whenever you give.... three times good will always come back to you!!
