I'm being blackmailed by an escort I met thru a phone chat line. We texted a few times so she has some evidence I contacted her. She's saying she knows my real name and that I'm married. I already gave her some money and she promised to go away. I know stupid me. She cam back a week later saying she's pregnant and needs more money for abortion and time off from work. I finally called her bluff on it and she says she'll be back. Any advice or thoughts from anyone? Thanks for listening.

Change your number, do more research next time and don't give her a dime.

Did you actually sleep with her or she just has some texts from you and you paid her? Definitely good choice on calling her bluff she is just a scammer that's looking to milk cash from unsuspecting gentlemen. If she doesn't stop, threaten to go to the police with her phone number and say you've found information on her as well, all of which you will tell the cops and your wife (wife optional) if she does not leave you alone.

If it were me I'd schedule a place to meet up and beat the shit out of her but I'm a female so that equals catfight for me, battery charge for you so don't do that, go with option number 1...

If you used a hobby phone and hobby alias, she has nothing on you. Even if she did have your phone # and/or e-mail (hobby ones of course), you just ditch them. Change phone/phone #. Come up with a new e-mail. Lay low for awhile. This person is a scammer. Unless they have pics or an IT person who can dig deeply enough into your digital footprint, you are safe. Now, if you used your real world info, it would be a whole lot easier for this person to get the goods on you.

Did you perhaps lose the phone, and some other party, unknown to you, made the texts?
Was your friend using your phone to play a joke on you?
Was an angry co worker playing a trick on you to mess you up at work, or for revenge because you got a promotion?
Did someone take your SIM card to get free calls and cover their tracks?
If someone else's SIM card will fit, will your wife acquit?

Thanks for all the input. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I did actually sleep with her and I stupidly used my "real" phone and not a disposable. I totally think she's scamming me about the pregnancy, but she still has the texts. She may actually be pregnant from someone else and come back in 9 months claiming its mine. I can always get a test, but still wouldn't look good in front of my wife.

Wait, are you saying you BB'd a provider? And used your real number?! Goddammit man never trust an escort like that! Actually this woman doesn't even deserve that title with the way she is behaving. She's the type of adult child that gives the rest of us reputable ladies a bad name. Maybe you should take a break from the hobby at least until this is resolved...I'm worried that you'll give the next lady your ssn as part of "verification"...was this girl established? Did you ask for reviews, board activity or the names of any sites she advertises on? Did you run her number? Any male clients that would vouch for her at the very least? This woman is definitely in the wrong but she can only take advantage of hobbyists who allow her to do so....

It may come down to your money or your reputation. For me, I'll take my money. Tell her you're going to the police with her phone number and explain what happened. Don't know how much she extorted from you but...as far as her being pregnant, she could have taken the cover and turned it inside out and shoved it up her vagina. DNA tests are not cheap.
