For such an illegal activity...
Has anyone else noticed how big escorting is in a lot of tv series such as CSI & Criminal Minds? Its usually set as a classy way of life yet very realistically portrayed behind closed doors with all the drama and such... Very interesting to notice LOL!

Well the strip clubs are legal, but yes there is usually a strip club and some strippers in a lot of shows too.
And I love the client list! Jennifer was super hot in that movie. Makes me want to Netflix that movie right now LOL!

There are some places where jobs like that are mainstream. In Vegas you are as likely to have a woman tell you she's a stripper or and escort as you are a school teacher. Of course why be ashamed when you're making six figures?
A show like CSI:Miami has hot chicks everywhere - both CSI and civilians. Sex sells. Why not involve it in the storylines?

The reason strip clubs/strippers, escorts, hookers, etc. are used in cop shows is because all these people are bad and only bad people assoicate with them. At least thats what it says in my Hollywood typecast/stereotype script writing handbook. Which side do I belong on? See below in my signature line.

I knew women on the legal side and the not so legal side of things. I knew escorts that had a condo in Maui, SF, and a house in Vegas. Of course I knew some that had to worry about rent. Bottom line is, as you say, it's yours and mine and if no one is getting hurt then leave us alone. Unfortunately I saw a lot of robberies, unmentionables, and shady behavior too.

Sadly enough, I've been on both sides too. I've had more than one house, four cars at one time and anything else I wanted. I've also struggled to barely pay my rent and bills. This can be a very stressful life due to having to worry about the legal issues we face. I've also seen plenty of shady stuff. Its unbelievable what some ladies experience.

The incredible, but sadly cancelled, Firefly, had ladies (and possibly men) known as "Companions." Companions were very highly regarded and esteemed members of society. Inara was really something, though I have to say that personally, I'm a Kaylee fan. (I got angry with Mal for calling her a "prairie harpy!"). I fell in love with her in her first scene with Book.
