I saw this thread on the main forum and I decided to open one about the same subject here. Sadly there aren't enough KS people representin' on the main board. LOL. (Yes. I kind of got a little ghetto-ish there.)
I watch movies for free whenever I can. Yes it's wrong. Do I care? Nope.
If your friend buys a movie and you watch it, is it not sort of the same concept?
I don't download them, I watch them streaming.
No problems here.

How would you feel if someone serviced themselves for free at your expense. Maybe a ruffie or two. Maybe they were even nice about and left you somewhere safe and clothed after they were done.
There is an applied agreement with the studios and film makers. They produce and charge a price which we the viewing public pay. I know, I think they charge too much as well in order to pay off Mr. Cruise and Ms. Roberts.

I got to agree with JG on this one, being in the industry you guys have no idea how much damage your free viewing does, question, what are you going to do when all those companys that make porn are gone, where are you are going to down load then. Laugh if you want but 3 of the major porn studies are on the verge of bankrupsy, West Coast is trying to sell out. You guys crack me up, you critisize someone who steals a car, but you have no remorse stealing a product that people have invested money into. Your the same as the guy who steals a car, your a theif, you just justify your actions. I know laugh all you want, your just harmless theives. At least I am upfront about being a former crook. Hey Alli let me know when you get your new TV, I am going to come over an steal it, I mean you dont mind do you, you can afford it.

Oh and please dont feed me the bull about porn being a 4 billion dollar a year industry, in its hey day, the mid 90's it made that kind of money but it doesn't anymore.

I have to agree with JG (which kills me) and DD. I love my netflix and my porn home delivery. I watch certain tv shows on HULU, but I pay for it and as far as I know the networks are getting a cut too. I did mention a site called sidereel.com, but at a point you have to pay for it too.

The three of you make laudable arguments. Honesty is best. However... like everyone else, there are certain things I won't pay for if I can get them for free. Stealing or not. Things like Cable tv, Porn, liquor, food. It's the nature of capitalism. Get what you can get for free and spend your money on the things you have to. I'll defend this more later, i have to go to my therapist and have someone there tell me what a bastard I am.

DD, I see your argument. Other industries and companies have overestimated their value to the consumer and are long gone. It is not stealing if it is available for free.
Our choices are greater than ever and we should enjoy it while it lasts.
It's not really free since we have to deal with ads, popups and viruses. Ask Blockbuster how important they feel right now. They had their way with the consumer for years, now they can lean over and kiss their own ass goodbye.

Vito I see your point, but the process involved in putting the product on the internet is illegal. I have no problem with people legally downloading material, but the materials your getting from the tube sites are illegally obtained. Believe me of all the people on this board I know full well how nice it is to get something for free. But it is short sighted thinking. The people making porn are doing so for the money, when they are no longer making money they will close up and disappear. While you might think thats its not possible for the producers of porn to disappear, but you are very wrong, several mid level production houses folded last year, 3 of the largest, West Coast Products, evil Angel and Elegant Angel are on the verge. Where are you going to down load from when they are gone, more importantly where are all of the people involved in the adult industry going to go to work at. People talk about the jobs that are going overseas, what about the jobs being lost to technology, jobs which are not changed by eliminated. We are quickly reaching a critical mass where there are more people than jobs, can we as a country survive with a permanent 15% unemployment rate. I am not just talking like this because two of the businesses in the portfolio are in the adult industry, to be honest I have lost more positions and income from my Oak Cabinet company and my custom counter top businesses. Hell I am not worried about me, and I know this is really a small thing, but it does have a dramatic impact of peoples lives. Besides, I can always go back to stealing Allie tv . By the way, when I called you guys a theif was aimed at the act not the persons involved.

I pay $10 a month for a Megavideo membership. Surfthechannel has pretty much every movie that's out though.
