Interesting Phone Call

There have been posts on how embarrising a call or text can be at the wrong time. So all should be causes of when you send out a message. Also be sure you are protected if you are using your regular phone, even with Google numbers.

We were at dinner with my daughter at a restaurant close to her apartment where she goes to college. I go to the restroom, like a dumb ass I leave my phone on table. My phone (Personal / Business - not dedicated hobby phone it was hidden in truck) beeps with a txt. The message reads

Hey this is Kendal I am in town when we gonna meet.

This was number with a 214 (thank goodness) area code (so Dallas area compared to my 361 area code). My daughter looks over to my phone and sees the message. When I get back she says you have a meeting??? I did not know about the message so I say no. By now my SO is now interested and asks who is Kendal, I have no idea who she is. I do not do any hobbying from my regular phone.

Well later when alone I send a message to this person. She sent again that she was in Houston expecting to see me, I informed her that I was not in Houston and did not have a meeting with anyone name Kendal. She sent an apology and did not hear from her again.

I did a number search on Google. She is a provider from Dallas that goes by another name. Luckly this did not turn out bad for me.

So guys and gals be causious if you a not using completely different phones.

That's crazy. I use Google Voice and I keep it at Do Not Disturb so no calls come through. If I want to check out my texts I go into the app. I get an email everytime someone tries to call or text so I get notified anyways.

I have had close to the same happen to me. Was on a family trip a couple of years ago getting settled in for the night in our hotel. While I was in the shower I get a txt on my phone, "Hey you want to have a session?" My SO picks up the phone and sees the txt and when I get out of the shower she confronts me asking, Who the hell is this and what kind of session are they talking about? Fortunately I was able to take care of it and all ended well. Needless to say my next investment was the purchase of an untraceable hobby phone.

Hobby phone. Dedicated to nothing but the hobby. Go Phones, etc., and pay for it with cash...no credit card purchase that can be traced. When adding time, pay with cash.

Thats nuts, and really uncomfortable too! I would never call or text a client EVER! Call me old fashioned, but Im an escort- Gentlemen contact me when they are ready for fun. I dont contact them! Thats just Horrible manners on her part too!

I have a few texts that I didn't respond back to on some days last week that I took off. I haven't responded to them now because it's days after the fact. They will text or PM me again when they have time, I wouldn't do that either!

I keep my GV on the same settings!
I took off the notification setting & removed GV from my hm page ...was paranoid someone might oversee my ph n become suspicious.
Anywho..thats pretty ironic that you got a "wrong person" text...but youre both in the same lifestyle.
So kendall is her real name, she uses her REAL phone number (since you googled her), and found out shes a provider.
Im curious......is she hot? Will this mix up lead to a potential date?

I am old fashioned too Candi. But you and Tracey can call me anytime, middle of night, whenever. Ha. Real world and hobby phone the same but I have know one to answer or hide from.

I like google voice for myself and I don't have anyone checking. If you have an SO the best thing is to get a burner phone just for the hobby and keep it hidden and off when not in use.

Well I searched on Google and found her eccie handle, don't know if she texted me on her real or hobby number. Yes funny we were both in the hobby. She is from Dallas and I will probably not see her.
