Default New Phone

I'm in need of a hobby phone and was hoping someone could help me with some advice. I partake irregularly in the hobby so I don't want one where I have a monthly plan. I would prefer one which I can add minutes by buying a card. I've looked at most of the big carriers and they all require a month plan. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Consumer cellular.

Walmart has a deal where you get the hardware and just buy minutes.

Even the big carriers have subsidiaries like cricket.

T-Mobile and AT&T still have pay-as-you-go plans that can be replenished from cards paid for with cash, but Tracfone is probably your best bet in this area.

I use Straight Talk phone. Buy from Walmart. I bought their phone and monthly card with CASH. No electronic connection to me or AP on RW phone.
