Threats from Pimps?
Got a couple of interesting texts in my spam.
I assume this is nonsense but what are the chances?

Rarely a month goes by that someone doesn’t report a similar message, usually after responding to a fake LC ad. Notice how they claim they have all your personal information, yet they don’t refer to you by name, or share the address they have, or the names of your family members they claim to know.
Not only is it spam, it’s the spammiest of spams.

I think you should text each of them back and tell them to meet at the same location to figure things out! You might even find a spot you can watch from while drinking a nice bourbon.

Its a fake. You probably texted a fake girl on Listcrawler/Skip and didn't fall for the deposit scam so this is plan B to take your money.

Scarier, though, is a text I got. The scammer had, I guess through facial recognition software, matched a photo on Seeking with a photo from social media, then apparently Googled the name that came up. That led him to my phone number, the names of family members and an address, named and cited. I thought about responding, "Quien es?" or "Lo siento, no entiendo," but just ignored it. No fallout yet.

Send the information to the FBI. If they follow up, they can pay this self admitted pimp and extortionist a visit.

I had the same thing happen and they wound up sending fake pics of me with a dick showing (not mine - I don't ever send dick pics) to all the officers in the company I worked for. Our IT Dept could tell the pics were fake but it was quite the stir...

Lance, it’s good you brought that up. The danger factor goes up when you put your photo out there. Even outside the Seeking world so many women are asking for photos to screen you before they see you. You’ve provided another reason why married guys in particular should never do that, particularly in response to some random ad on a woman that has never been reviewed.

The first time I got one of these, I contacted the local FBI office. They are well aware of this scam, but it is so frequent from so many sources that they don't have the manpower to go after everybody. Just ignore it. But ... one bit of unsolicited advice. You never provoke a potential enemy without cause. You may think it is macho to send back an email with some sort of threat. It is not. It is stupid. Just delete and ignore.
