Question Restaurants in Texarkana?
I will be in Texarkana for the next two days, and I was curious if any locals knew a good seafood place they could recommend? I'm in the mood for cajun – crawfish étouffée. And it wouldn't hurt if a good steak was on the menu, as well!

PS… I'm counting on you Texarkana gents to be my dessert!

If you're lookin' for home cookin', Bryce's Cafeteria can't be beat! Might not find crawfish etoufee, but you can probably bet on turnip greens and corn bread. Summerfield Road Exit as I recall?

Copeland's is great, but there are lots of good hole-in-the-wall joints down there. I would suggest hopping into Fat Jacks for some Angels on Horseback. If you are in the mood for Mexican, check out Zapata's. Don't settle for chain restaurants down there. :-)

I really wanted to try Fat Jack's! Unfortunately, they didn't open till six… And I couldn't wait.

I'm sure the food's better on the Arkansas side of town.... ...just like the football...

Ok, sorry, I couldn't resist with the season getting so close. And no, I'm not a Texas hater like some others, just trying to get some grins....hopefully....after all, this is the Arkansas forum, right?
