Default The Senate Comedy Show

My nomination for best monologue .. .

“We certainly don’t have a dog in the fight,” Cruz said, calling it a civil war in Syria. “We should be focused on defending the United States of America. That’s why young men and women sign up to join the military, not to, as you know, serve as Al Qaeda’s air force.”

Speaking from his own personal experience, I'm sure! Oh, that's right . . . no military experience for the Little Canadian. Must have been a citizenship issue?

Oh no you didn't! How much military experience does Barry or for that case Bill or Hillary have? Obama took three years fo find his birth certificate and even then....

Also, according to the laws of 1970 Ted Cruz is an American citizen. Be very careful with you lies because if you can disqualify Cruz then you also disqualify Obama. Cruz is relying on the part of the law that says his birth mother can transfer her citizenship to him just like Barry did after his travels to Indonesian where he became an Indonesian.

Note to JD . . . unless you show proof of his Canadian Citizenship being revoked, my statement is accurate.

And, just for another taste of accuracy, neither the President or Clinton are currently in the US Senate.

But keep making those leaps, they're good exercise for you!

Cruz renounced his citizenship......Canada will approve (if they already haven't). It is a non issue.

Canada

Canadian regulations afford Senator Cruz a comparatively easy renunciation road. The first step, ticking off six boxes on the list of eligibility criteria, promises to be relatively straightforward. This will include demonstrating that he or she is over 18, that he does not reside in Canada, that he presents no security threat to the country, and that he understands the full significance of the action. An applicant must also prove that he or she will not be left "stateless"—lacking citizenship in any other country.

Having met the criteria, Cruz then merely has to fill out an online application and pay a nonrefundable fee of $100, the processing time for which can vary from three months to a year. Since Canada does not levy taxes on income earned overseas Cruz will not face any tax bill, as he would if he were giving up his U.S. citizenship.

Cruz will then join a very small group: Last year only 192 people applied to renounce their Canadian citizenship, compared with 1,130 in the U.S. for the second quarter of 2013 alone.

Uh, no.

You don't have to be a US citizen to serve in the US military. in fact, military service is often a pathway to citizenship.

And Obama doesn't have military experience, either. So what is your point?
