Maybe it's not that they are afraid to win, could it be we are embarking on a one party political system? I don't think that's impossible. I'll also say this, if the heat on the Benghazi hearings gets to high, there maybe a need to divert the public's attention away from the hearings to something else. It's all about who rules. We've already seen the patterns forming, it's just that most people don't see it. If they do, they won't admit it.

COG made an excellent point with his posting. The GOP should have run that advertisement. I applaud COG for finding valuable information of this nature and posting it.

They aren't "afraid" of winning they are "afraid" that if they do they'll be called to deliver on their promises for smaller government. By losing they get to keep beating their chests about "smaller government" while blaming the democrats for fostering the growing government. . . which they also love.

It's sort of like the democrats beating their chests about minorities and the poor, they don't want to actually solve any of the problems because they then have no talking points.

Neither party has fundamentally changed, the GOP's first president used the federal government to trample on the states. By his actions the dems could no longer buy people. A hundred years later LBJ figured out a way to not only buy people again, but to do it with other people's money!
