This isn't a joke... I saw a game last night.
Their first season was supposed to be next year, but they decided to do a "test season" this year and getting better than expected results.
What: Women's tackle football.
When: Mondays @ 7:30 until 15 August, championship game: 25 August.
Where: Mobile (Cottage Hill Park, wedged between Knollwood Drive and Hillcrest Road)
Why: Women playing tackle football wearing helmets, shoulder pads cleats and little else.

(from I-10 @ MS/AL stateline go to Exit 15B, then get on US 90 east, then right on 3 notch road, then get on hillcrest. If I didn't have a GPS I'd have made a wrong turn getting from 90 to 3 notch.
