Are you talking about for hosting a league or for researching and tracking players?

Last year my group used the ESPN one and it went pretty well. For the draft it is timed so you have to be ready and pay attention. It also gave you player stats from the previous year to help you along.

The one I'm on is timed but it gave each person $200 and you would bet on your players & I didn't like it lol $200 isn't alot when trying to fill every slot... So you would end up getting screwed in the end..

I will look into that one thanks

I've been in the same league for over 30 years. We started with calling in and leaving our lineups in messages on a voicemail machine. We tracked scoring and stats from the newspaper. But things have changed ...

We still draft in person on the same weekend every year. But the only change is that we use RTSPORTS as our hosting site. It's very flexible with any custom scoring you may want to use.

Sounds like you may have an issue with the league settings not the app. What app are you on now?

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but I always wanted to get into fantasy football. How can I learn about fantasy football?

Just google it. Then play a free game or 2 for the season. Or do the free daily leagues on sites like fan dual.

NFL fantasy football it wasn't like this last year when I played that's why I was a little confused when I seen how it was this year..

Before you join a league it won't let you see how the league operates as far as the draft pick or any information for that matter.. I don't remember it being like that but I could be wrong.

I'm sure if you talk with any of your male friends this time of year, they will be talking Fantasy Football ;-)

If you're already a football fan, then that's a start. So instead of following one team, you will now be following every team with a player on your Fantasy Football roster.

Yes, our league uses the ESPN format, too, for drafting and setting our rosters and weekly contests. However...

...whether it be STANDARD or PPR rules, I would carefully do my own research / homework prior to your draft date versus what the ESPN brain trust currently has posted per players' values.

David Johnson vs La'Veon Bell or Julio Jones vs Antonio Brown in Round One may just come down to a matter of your own preference (or each team's actual schedule if you believe that's a factor). If you're fortunate to get any one of these four elites, count yourself lucky and move on to the next pick...

That said, as we all know though, the difference between an average FF team vs a playoff team comes down to finding those Value Picks from mid-draft through Round 17. All too many times I see people get "tired head" even after (only) round six or seven...and start to make what-I-call blow-off picks (ie: reach on players / positions loooooong before they should be picked...you can see they're anxious, frustrated, or simply unprepared).

Do your homework....develop a strategy....and don't get rattled (even if someone snags Gronk before you do in Round Two). Good luck!
