Can California Chrome Get It Done ? Last Leg Of The Triple Crown This Saturday

Here's the post position draws for the Belmont on Saturday, I would like to see California Chrome win the Triple Crown, but you never know. I'll be heading out to Lone Star to place a few wagers, good luck to everyone and let's hope California Chrome can get it done.

Can he? Absolutely. Will he? Well . . . history says that's a different story. I think he has as good a chance as any three year old since Spectacular Bid did back in 1979. But Triple Crown winners are rare for a reason. And the mile and a half of the Belmont is a very testing distance, especially after two grueling races in five weeks. I'd take a stand against him, especially if he goes off under 2-1, and I think he'll go off at 4-5 or even money. If the morning line odds were there five minutes to post, I'd have to take a stand on Commanding Curve at 15-1. But surely he comes down to about 6-1. I can't seem him going off at double digits. Ride On Curlin would be my other pick.

I agree Juan, no need for that. If medal count could have got second it would have been a good day, oh well that's horse racing. Chung dead heat for fourth.

CSB, Juan, I missed the interview.. can you give a cliff note response, what was said that turned you off? and did the TV folks give an indication that they felt the same?

Chung, he ranted about how horses who don't run in the other two triple crown races how they get into the Belmont fresh. He could have a point, but not something you air o ut after your horse has lost on national TV.

Agreed, sorry, you do not make the rules, and fresh horses will always run in the Belmont, and I am with the other guy, if Medal Count could have gotten up for 2nd, I would be in fat city...oh well, back to the poor house
